Wedding Photographers in Highlands

Highlands, North Carolina is a shining gem in the Blue Ridge Mountains and, as far as wedding venues go, Old Edwards Inn shines the brightest! It is one of my favorite wedding locations in Highlands, and has many venues to chose from within the property, the Farm and Rockwood Lodge being two of my favorites. Just down the hill from Highlands lies Cashiers, perfectly situated in the solitude and serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of my favorite venues there are Lonesome Valley, Sawyer Family Farmstead, and Castle Ladyhawke (though I am yet to have the privilege of photographing a wedding there, so let's make that happen!) Lonesome Valley and the Sawyer Family Farmstead both offer a very rustic-yet-modern feel complete with astounding mountain views and plenty of southern charm. And if you want the mountain views with a more European feel, Castle Ladyhawke has just that and more to offer.

Wedding Photographers in Charleston

I really love photographing weddings in Charleston, South Carolina! With its cobblestone streets, horse drawn carriages, and amazing architecture, Charleston is one amazing wedding backdrop. A few of my favorites are the William Aiken House, the Historic Rice Mill, and the French Huguenot Church.

The William Aiken House is described as a “seamless blend of 18th-century charm and modern sophistication.” I would add an “old-world opulence” in there too! With its amazing antiques and beautiful artwork it feels like an inviting museum that is yours for the evening. If you want a waterfront wedding, I’m really not sure you can beat the Rice Mill. Be it an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception, this is one of the classiest venues you’ll find. Last but not least, the French Huguenot Church. Few places are as idyllic as this Victorian Gothic style church nestled in sleepy, deep-south Charleston.

Destination Wedding Photographers

I also love to travel worldwide for both wedding and portrait photography. I have photographed weddings in Italy, Scotland, the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Mexico (Cabo San Lucas, Playa Del Carmen, Cancun), Australia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, New York City, Seattle, Cleveland, Detroit, Oregon, Napa Valley, Miami, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, and so many more places in between. For many years of my career, I specialized solely in destination weddings. Whether you’re getting married in Capri, Italy or the Mayakoba in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, let's go somewhere and make photographic history together!
