Parker J is a photographer because he has to be.
He photographs for his soul.
And just incase you were wondering he enjoys:
laughing hard, swinging hammocks, clouds wandering through a mountain range,
music that lets you feel, a good sense of humor, country roads with grass between the tracks,
the click of a shutter, the way a fly line pulls off of the water sending tiny droplets of water to
shine in the sun, the constant flow of people in a large city scene, Scottish hospitality, a great cheeseburger, a fine wine, watching others, a smooth flight and eggs.
He fears:
clowns, spiders, large cats, bees, scales, Scottish food and normality.

Hi Parker,
Happy recent birthday!!! :} I have a question. I am interested in your edges…and I remember last year when I first came across your site, that i could look at what was in the collection. I am after a very specific look, and wanted to have another look to see if you had a similar edge. I have limited cash, and have to be sure they will be the most useful tools for me. How do i access the edges included please.
The look I want is like an emulsion or lithographic look edge for bw prints.
Thanks and of course loove love your beautiful work.
Cheers,
jennifer
I wanted to congratulate you on your award. I remember your work from my first Photovision Captiviting Light Workshop probably three years ago. I am doing my first wedding for a friend’s boss and I am very much nervous. I look at your work again and again for inspiration. I understand you are very busy creating these great works of art, but if you can give any pointers, it would greatly appreciated. The joyous event will be June 16, 2012. Thank you.
Are you considering any workshops in Asheville or nearby in the near future?
I just got my first DSLR camera. Your work is pure beauty and each shot is a captivating work of art!
So… I was walked in a sandwich shop in Reno and there sat this guy whom I thought was YOU! Really, your have a twin out there. While I waited at the counter for my food, I had total butterflies in my stomach and my mind raced, like why would Parker be in Reno Nevada anyway, maybe on a destination shoot. But I had to take a chance to say hi, just to make sure. I thought of all the stupid things I would say just to make small talk and tell you how fascinated I am with your work? So I mustared my courage and say, “hi, are you Parker.” He very sweetly said NO, and I said “OH… you look just like someone I know.” I hope one day to meet you, I love, love, love your work and your passion for what you see thru the cameras eye. You inspire me, and thank you! Happy Holidays, Lorraine Mogab… ‘Capturing life.’
Parker, you do incredible work, being named one of the ten best wedding photographers in the world is a well-suited title. I have seen the outside of your studio countless times, and I hope to someday see the inside and meet you!
